We love to be in the unloved city of Dubai

Far from the civilization, desert, impractical, those are the words to describe our present accommodation in Dubai the International City Dubai, but that was years ago.

This is the area where expats never ever wish to live in because it is a bit far from the city, not accessible and market impressions in this area are not good.

But since this is the area we can afford to get our own unit, we don’t have a choice but to sacrifice a bit. As you know Dubai is very expensive when it comes to accommodations. Studio unit range from 45-50 Thousand Dirhams along Al Barsha Area, Studio City, and IMPZ. We don’t prefer to live in Karama & Deira area due to congested and extremely traffic situations.

Currently, the contract we are paying for our studio unit is AED35.000 in 6 cheques, we got a quite good offer this year since we have been a loyal tenant for almost 3 years. Yes in spite of being a bit far from our friend’s place and central we manage to love this unloved area in Dubai.

So far we are enjoying the place since everything seems so accessible now, regular bus trips to Rashidiya metro station are now available and they opened different road routes to Dubai too. A variety of supermarkets, restaurants and even malls are within.

Yes, the community is now enjoying this area, especially that Dragon Mart 02 opens which are very favorable to us. Yesterday, after our mini groceries at Geant supermarket we had our dinner at the food court and we really enjoyed their Chinese cuisine.

A Chinese cuisine fast food, their foods are really tasty

Mapo Tofu Minced Chicken in super spicy sauce & Garlic spring roll for me, while Traditional Yu Xiang beef with spring roll for my hubby

Visit the place and enjoy the 20% discount with all their menus, the applicable prices are the handwritten in blue. We are satisfied in the food taste with a very budget friendly price.

My meal wouldn’t be complete without having desserts and coffee before we are driving all the way to Mirdiff City Center if I want to sip my favorites but now, a variety of coffee shops are reachable within the area which I am thankful for that.

We ended the night with hot & cold choco drinks and donuts at Tim Hortons, they have an indoor and outdoor seating area.

We enjoyed our sweets while listening to a free Filipino live band, we didn’t know that there is a performer yesterday due to some events in the mall.

Our contract is about to end few more months and it seems we will be renewing it again since this place is getting ideal to stay in.
