How long it will take to process UAE employment Visa?

If you’re new to UAE then Just submit your Passport & visit visa and with in 3–7 working days you will receive your MOL contract duly signed by your employer and then you too need to agree and sign with thumb impression if visa is unskilled visa for skilled workers sign is enough.

If you are already working for a company in UAE then just submit your visa cancellation paper and passport copies to the new employer. Once you do this Your Employer will submit this to the Immigration department and You need to wait maximum of 7–15 days for your E- work visa to generate. (Normally it took just 7 working days for mine .where in both the companies that I worked )

Once this visa is generated talk to your employer whether if you want to exit the country or do an internal transfer or Change of visa without exiting. Soon after you enter or do the internal transfer your HR or PRO team will ask you to do the medicals with in 7–30 days and then you will receive your medical fit to work certificate from health authority with 7–10 days.

Meanwhile you need to do the formalities for Emirates ID i.e Fingerprint and Eye scanning. Soon after they receive the medical certificate they will send it to the Immigration department for Visa stamping. Visa stamping will take at least 10–20 days. Then your visa is stamped wait for the message from Emirates ID office.

You will receive an SMS saying in which post office you need to collect the Emirates ID.

Receiving the offer letter – Signing the contract – Getting the work visa

STAGE 1 – OFFER LETTER

The offer letter and its annexures contain important details of the job and both parties must sign these documents. Once signed it is a valid contract.

STAGE 2 – SIGNING THE CONTRACT

2.1) Then the employer applies for labour approval which will grant the employee permission to work in the UAE. This is subject to Employer’s employee quota.

2.2) If the quota is approved, then the PRO of the Employer will be presented with a Labour contract. The employment contract is a document signed by the employer and the employee in which the latter undertakes to serve the employer and work under his management against an agreed fee paid by the employer. Once the Employment contract is signed it replaces the Offer letter and must be submitted WITHIN 14 DAYS to the Ministry of Labour.

STAGE 3 – EMPLOYEE’S WORK PERMIT

3.1) If the Employee is outside the UAE: The process starts with procuring a work permit for an expatriate from Ministry of Labour valid for two months from the date of issue. Then the employment contract (based on the offer letter) must be signed by both parties and submitted to Ministry of Labour WITHIN 14 DAYS of the employee’s arrival in the UAE.

STAGE 4 – COMPLETING THE LAST FORMALITIES ie. WORK VISA

4.1) Then sponsoring company arranges to complete the formalities of:
medical testing,
obtaining UAE Resident Identity (Emirates ID) Card,
Labour Card, and stamping the work residency permit on his passport all WITHIN a period of 60 DAYS
