Claveria View Deck Misamis Oriental
Claveria View Deck, let’s enjoy the view!
I recently attended the wedding of my brother‑in‑law in Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. The first thought that came to my mind the moment I received the invitation was: Where exactly is this province on the map? I knew it was part of Mindanao, but I had no idea of its exact location. Nevertheless, my husband and I were excited, as this would be our first time visiting this part of the Philippines.
While preparing our plane tickets and arranging our day offs from work, I realized that exploring different places during this trip would be unrealistic. Our four‑day stay would mostly be spent on wedding preparations, pictorials, and family gatherings. I had to set aside my excitement about sightseeing and focus on the real purpose of our travel—to witness and support the special day of my brother‑in‑law.
Because of that, I stopped searching for details about the province. I didn’t want to tempt myself with places I might not have the chance to see.
Little did we know, the newly married couple had thoughtfully planned something special for their guests who flew in from different provinces—most of whom, like us, were first‑time visitors. On the last day before our flight, they arranged a whole‑day tour featuring some of the province’s beautiful tourist destinations.
One of the highlights was Claveria View Deck, located along Route 955 in Barangay Lanis. It is about an hour and a half drive, or roughly 80 kilometers, from Balingoan. The scenic journey and breathtaking views made it a perfect way to cap off our short but memorable trip.
Welcome to Claveria View Deck

The Claveria View Deck is a two‑storey viewing platform that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Balatukan Mountain Range. As you arrive, the lush green landscape immediately welcomes you. I had the same reaction the moment I saw the view for the first time—wow! Is this a painting, or is it real?
The scenery is truly stunning and incredibly relaxing. Standing there, surrounded by nature, felt peaceful and rewarding. It is a beautiful memory that I will always cherish.

This park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., giving visitors plenty of time to truly enjoy the place. Once you are here, forget the words hurry up, quickly, and rush. Give yourself a moment to appreciate the beauty, simplicity, and calmness around you. Sit back, relax, and savor each moment.
You never know if there will be another chance to come back—so be present and enjoy it while you can.

The Claveria View Deck is perfect for every visitor—it is ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Whatever your reason for coming here, this trip will surely remind you of how beautiful the simplest things in life can be. It offers inspiration to keep pushing forward and to continue embracing life, no matter what phase you are currently in.
Each visitor can find a peaceful spot to unwind, reflect, and reconnect with nature at the Claveria View Deck.

Another great thing about this place is that it is a non‑smoking area. For non‑smokers, this is a wonderful chance to breathe freely without worrying about the smell of cigarette smoke.
You’ll likely spend at least an hour here, so it’s a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks. However, if you’re unable to bring any, don’t worry—there is a small store and a mini café available on site.
If you prefer to bring your own food, that’s totally fine too. The management is generous in providing designated areas where guests can enjoy their meals comfortably.

And lastly, don’t forget to bring your gadget to capture the best souvenir of all—a photo or video that you can always look back on whenever you feel tired or stressed in life. These memories will serve as a gentle reminder that there is still a long list of amazing places waiting to be seen and experienced. They’ll inspire you to keep going, to keep working hard, and to continue chasing moments like this.
After all, those beautiful experiences are always worth it.
