Easy menu for busy working but sometimes lazy lady like me (Chicken Sausage with Shrimp Paste)

All Filipinos working here in UAE for sure know this product very well. It is one of our top choices for easy to prepare packed lunch. And as well this is our savior when our food allowance reaches the limit especially during the end of the month.

You can find it anywhere, and always on sale. 3 packs cost AED10.00 or Php 141.34 as of current exchange rate.

None other than the Sadia Chicken Franks.

I know this is not healthy and I am not promoting it, but with a busy working lifestyle here thinking of food to prepare is really challenging. So please forgive me 🙂

Frying, steaming I’ve done that and in reality, you will really feel tired of eating a repetitive style of food cooking.

As much as I am avoiding to prepare this tonight but we don’t have any stock in our freezer anymore. Hubby and I felt lazy to go out to buy, we just literally stayed in our bed the whole day. Too tired the past days as we are both busy in our work.

Anyways, being a fan of Filipino dishes I have always a shrimp paste stock at the house as I always cook a ginataang dishes. So with my playful imagination, I came up with this idea why not saute this sausage with our shrimp paste.

Unexpectedly, it came out well.

Here’s the recipe in case you like it:

Chicken Franks, Onions, Garlic, Chili, and Shrimp Paste – so simple!

Easy Steps

  1. Heat oil in the pan.
  2. Fry the sausage a bit (not burned)
  3. Together with the sausage, saute the garlic, onions, chili and the Shrimp paste
  4. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes
  5. According to your preference, you can add pepper and salt.
  6. And done! you have now your Chicken Sausage with a twist

It is simple yet so tasty, and definitely would be my additional easy menu recipe to go to.

And here you go! enjoy your meal
